If it opened when it shouldn’t have, that’s on us.
Check Parent → Status. The usual causes, in order:
On the child’s device, in iOS Settings → Screen Time, set a passcode they don’t know and turn off Content & Privacy → Deleting Apps. Deleting Unlocked removes its shields, and that is the first thing a determined child will try. Locking date and time changes is worth doing too.
Face ID gets you back in if it was enabled. If it wasn’t, there is currently no way to recover the PIN without deleting and reinstalling the app, which clears its data and its shields. We know this is a poor answer and are fixing it. Until then: choose a PIN you will remember, and turn Face ID on.
All on the parent side, behind the PIN. The Chronicle shows your child every change, including adjustments you make, so a correction stays part of the deal rather than becoming a hallway argument.
There isn’t a phone line, a chatbot, or a form. The address is enough.
